Identifiera min gamla Volvo Penta

Jag har fått en gammal Vovlo Penta-utombordare. Jag vore hemskt tacksam om någon kunde hjälpa mig med vilket år den är tillverkad! Eller kanske kan någon tipsa mig om vart jag skall vända mig för att söka information.

Nymansbolagen

Founded in Uppsala in 1873 by Anders Nyman as Nymans Verkstäder. Manufacturing bicycles from 1888. Two wheel vehicles was since then the main product for the company.

With its roots in the booming moped business Nyman released their first 1.5 hp outboard design with air cooling, the so called NV Marin nyckelpiga (ladybird). The engine was designed by Hans Müller. Hans had during the war worked with 2-stroke engine design at Auto Union in Germany. The Nyckelpigan was marketed from 1953 as a compliment to the moped sales. It was redesigned in 1959 and ended it’s life practical unchanged in 1979 as a Volvo Penta 3.9 “den fula ankungen” (the ugly duckling). In total almost 400 000 was sold.
