CONSTRUCTION / CE-CERTIFICATION
The X-482 has been built in accordance with the European CE-Certification and meets the requirements of the CE-directive 94/25/CE for recreational crafts.
These rules require a certain minimum standard of hull and deck strength, structural bulkheads and stringer, keel and rudder and their attachment to the hull, safety and stability, engine installation, gas installation, sea cocks, manuals and documentation of all major installations.
Hull/deck
Isotalic Polyester resin sandwich construction with biaxial E-glass fabric and reinforced triaxial E-glass at high stress areas. Core material is 15 - 25 mm Divinycell with different densities. Solid laminate around keel steel girder, rudder and in connection with all through hull fittings.
Plan Approval
The X-482 hull, deck, keel, keel attachment to the hull, rudder, rudder stock and bearings, and rig attachments to the hull and deck as well as the internal hull/deck structure (bulkheads/frames) are all built in accordance with ABS Hull Certification. Inspection by ABS surveyor on request.
Grp Units
X-482 is developed to a very high and modern standard, incorporating features as complete deck inner liner, integrating positions for adequate halogen lighting, and complete toilet/head/shower compart-ments including bilge in the floors.

Heat galvanized TPS steel sections. The frame takes up the loads from keel, mast and rig. Central hoist attachment.

Antimony hardened leadkeel with cast iron top flange for high strength and low CGF. Surface protected with two layers of grp and faired to high standards.

Rudder blade hand laminated biaxial and triaxial E-glass. Solid tapered aluminium rudder stock with 3 sets of welded wings. Both rudder bearings are roller bearings.

DECK EQUIPMENT
Sprayhood
Large canvas sprayhood on strong s/s collapsible tupes, - while not in use - housed in a deck integrated recess, covered with a zipped canvas in the same colour as the sprayhood.
Cockpit table
Removable grp-cockpit table on 2 s/s bases with central bar for food/drinks.
Steering
Single wheel steering, 180 cm diameter double spoke s/s with brown leather. Rack and pinion transmission for very direct feel.
Suunto 165 mm compass on top of the pedestal. Spare alloy tiller to fit directly on top of the rudder stock.
Teak laid deck
Teak laid deck in cockpit and at bathing platform. Additional teak laid deck at sidedecks and central part of coach roof, on request.
Ventilation
2 Dorade vents, hidden by a s/s rail, ventilating the owner’s cabin and the head compartment.

Chainplates
Shroud chain plates connected directly to the keel steel frame.
Forestay chainplate with loop for headsails - and s/s bow fitting with base for bow pulpit and having single anchor roller integrated.
Chainplate for Navtec hydraulic backstay pump.
Pad Eyes
Pad eyes for holding and parking the removable check stays. Spin guy blocks, spin sheets, barber hauls and pole down haul blocks.
Cleats and Rail
6 mooring cleats, 6 mooring fairleads, 8 600 mm stanchions in bases, one 600 mm passage gate on each side, 2 aft pushpits integrating flag holder and stern nav. light and single bow pulpit integrating red/green nav. light.
Double 1 x 19 wire lifelines with turnbuckles. Bathing ladder mounted at transom. Mast collar with fixation for 12 blocks and parking for halyards.

MACHINERY/TANKS
Engine Installation
75 HP, 4 cyl, Yanmar 4JH 2-HTE diesel engine, 80 ampH alternator, 35 mm diameter s/s shaft, s/s propeller strut, greased inner bearing, 55 cm diameter, 2 or 3 blade folding propeller.
Engine instrument panel - inclusive of RPM-meter, acoustic alarm for oil pressure and cooling water temperature - protected by plexiglass - led into the cockpit coaming protected via a plexiglass, gear/gas level arm - in cockpit coaming.
Space for diesel generator and additional electrical-/mechanical equipment such as water maker, heaters, air conditioner in the large lockers between the two aft cabins - see the options list.
Diesel Tank
S/s diesel tank 250 ltrs with shut off valve, baffles, water separator and deck fill cap. Tank volumen capacity read out digital by the nav stations elec. switch board.

Hot and cold pressurized water. S/s water tanks with total capacity of 450 ltrs with deck fill caps.
Extra water tanks on request - or alternatively a water maker.

Electrical System
X-YACHTS main switch boards - one for navigation equipment and for the yacht’s service facilities - and another for shore/generator powered system, both containing fuses, switches with indication diodes, digital readouts for amp, voltage and tank volumes.
2 main switches
1 x 70 ampH battery for engine
6 x 70 ampH batteries for service.
Engine based 80 ampH/12 V alternator - and a shore powered battery charger 220 V - 12V/25 amp.
Shore socket located aft, circuit breakers (Termo and short circuit) on shore supply, switch board mounted breakers for hot water, accommodation power and battery charger. 220 V sockets in each cabin and in the galley.
Lighting Below Deck
Adequate halogen spot lighting integrated into the moulded grp head liner throughout the yacht. Adequate halogen spot reading lights in main cabin as well as by each berth. Halogen spotlight at flexible arm by the nav station.
Lighting Above Deck
Deck flood light and compass light.
Red and green nav lights.
Steaming nav light.
Stern nav light.
Windex light - or anchor light.
Pumps
Two manual bilge pumps, one in cockpit leading from the central keel sump, one in an aft cabin. Electrical automatic bilge pump leading from the central keel sump.
2 separate electrical bilge pumps draining toilet/shower sumps.

ACCOMMODATION
General
The X-482s wooden interior is built of teak with hand polished satin finish. All joinery is built in accordance with the best yacht practice, and the number of visible screws have been reduced to a minimum and carefully designed to show off the fine wooden interior.
The modern looking grp inner liner has integrated halogen lighting, teak hand rails throughout, curtains by all port lights and blinds by all skylights.
Aft Cabins
All versions do contain the same aft cabins and aft toilet locker. Both aft cabins have a large 200 x 140 cm double berth and a 200 x 60 cm adjustable freeboard hung sea berth. Both aft cabins have a wardrobe with a shelf above and 2 openable port lights. Freeboard lining below the sea berth is white imitation leather - and above teak battens.
Toilet/head (2 Units)
Including marine pump toilet, s/s sink, paper holder, mixer tap for hot/cold pressurized water, soap and cup holder, towels hooks, front opening lockers with mirrors, s/s hand rail, teak floor grating, electrical bilge pump and one openable port light with curtain.
Engine - Compartments
Between the 2 aft cabins, the insulated engine box is situated, and its extension allows clints electrical equipment such as generator, water maker, air conditioner and heater systems to be nicely installed and serviced. When the latter is not installed, plenty of extra locker space is available in each aft cabin.
Entrance
Curved laminated teak steps - hung each side on the hinged grp entrance unit, which allows water to drain directly to the central keel bilge.
2 vertical s/s handrails protecting the longitudinal bulkheads.
Main Cabin Layout
X-482 is offered in two different main cabin layouts as well as two different front cabin layouts which can be combined to the clients choice - see price list.
Main Cabin - Classic Layout
In stb side: Large L-shaped galley with built in 3 jet gaz oven, space for 50 ltrs front opened refrigerator (see price list) as well as 160 ltrs top opened cooling box with Coolmatic cooling unit (freezing unit - see price list).
2 x s/s 40 cm diameter sinks, mixer tap for hot/cold pressurized water and separate saltwater tap, 4 x drawers 30 cm wide and an upper cabinet for galley equipment/food storage.
L-shaped sofa - 225 cm long and sea berth with leecloth. Teak batten lined freeboard.
In port side: Large 100 cm wide nav. seat (allows two persons) and deep chart table.
X-YACHTS customized electrical switchboard with fuses etc. - see Electrical system. 200 cm long sofa and sea berth with leecloth. Teak batten lined freeboard. Large central foldable table with central bar in the middle.
Main Cabin - Modern Layout
In stb side: Large 100 cm wide nav seat (allows two persons) and deep chart table.

In front of nav. station a 260 cm long U-shaped sofa arrangement with upper cabinet sections facing the freeboard.
In port side: Large V-shaped galley with 3 jet gas oven space for 100 L front opened refrigerator, see price list, top opened 180 ltrs cooling box with coolmatic cooling unit (see price list for freezing unit) - 2 x s/s sinks 40 cm dia, mixer tap for hot/cold pressurized water and salt water tap.
4 x drawers 40 cm wide and plenty of storage for additional galley/food storage, both below the tabletops as well as in the upper cabinets.
Facing the main bulkhead, a 35 cm long, 100 cm deep wardrobe, with shelves against the freeboard. In the middle part of main cabin, a 110 cm long centre sofa, and a large saloon table with built in wine bar.
Front Interior - Owner’s Cabin
In port side: Large double wardrobe - one for hangers, one with shelves - 100 cm long sofa - centre double berth 200 x 140 cm with drawers beneath, and in stb side a 45 cm sofa and a wardrobe with shelves.
Freeboard lined with teak battens.
Front Interior - 4 Cabin Layout
Aftmost front cabin: 2 berths 200 x 65 cm and wardrobe for hangers with shelves against freeboard. Storage for sleeping gear below the lower berth.
Foremost cabin: Double berth 200 x 140 cm - wardrobe for hangers with shelves against freeboard. Storage for sleeping gear below the double berth.
Sail Storage Locker
Through the hinged foredeck hatch access to the deep sail locker with teak steps for easy entrance.
