X-412 MK 2 - modified in 1994 and now including all the best X-Yachts special features - both sailing performance and interior design and quality have been upgraded. All bulkheads, berth fronts and backrests are fixed to hull and deck on both sides. All surfaces are high quality marine teak plywood varnished and oiled to obtain a satin type surface.
Solid laminated teak frames and cappings. All doors are provided with lock fittings. Teak floors in heads with access to bilge.
Bulkheads in heads are white. Floor board is in teak/carboon stripes mat varnished.

CONSTRUCTION / CE-CERTIFICATION
The X-412 has been built in accordance with the European CE- Certification and meets the requirements of the CE-directive 94/25/CE for recreational crafts.
These rules require a certain minimum standard of hull and deck strength, structural bulkheads and stringer, keel and rudder and their attachment to the hull, safety and stability, engine installation, gas installation, sea cocks, manuals and documentation of all major installations.

HULL/DECK & HULL/DECK JOINT
Hull as well as deck are in hand laid E-glass reinforced on special high stress areas with Triaxial fibre glass in connection with a sandwich laminate using hard compressed Divinycell 20 mm as core material. Solid laminated around the keel reinforcement girder system, the engine install, the propeller, the rudder bearings as well as in connection with all through hull fittings.
Hull surface outside is made of white gelcoat with 3 blue waterlines & sheer line moulded into the freeboard. Deck reinforced around and under all deck hard ware fittings with marine plywood instead of the hard compressed Divinycell foam in a thickness of 15 - 20 mm.
Surface of deck outside is white gelcoat and the antislip areas on side decks are light grey, when ordered without teak laid deck. Area around cabin windows is blue.
Hull and deck are glued together with a special polyester resin and are bolted together for each 100 mm with a 8 mm s/s screw with washer and nut.

BOTTOM REINFORCEMENT/MAST FRAME
The floor construction is a heavy welded bottom frame with keel floors, mast floors, lifting strap securing lugs made of TBS steel sections, longitudinally connected with same material. The floor construction is heat galvanised and glassed into solid laminate.

KEEL
The antimony hardened leadkeel, with cast iron top and with the very low centre of weight.
The keel is fixed with s/s bolts. The surface of the keel is protected with one layer of GRP and filler.

RUDDER/STEERING/EMERGENCY TILLER/COMPASS
The rudder blade is laminated in Triaxial fibre glass. The rudder stock is a solid aluminium rudder stock, tapered at both ends for strength and weight saving.
The upper rudder bearing is roller bearing for minimum resistance.
The wheel steering is type Whitlock with a rack and pinion system, the wheel diameter 150 cm is covered with leather. On top of the pedestal is a Suunto 165 mm compass.
For safety, the yacht is delivered with a spare tiller to be mounted on top of the top rudder bearing.

STRUCTURAL BULKHEADS
Main structural bulkheads are of marine plywood - 24 12 mm securely bonded to the hull and deck.

CHAIN PLATES/BOW FITTING
Side chain plates are of stainless steel bolted through to the transverse main bulkhead.
Chain plate permanent backstay
Stainless steel bolted through to the longitudinal bulk-head.
Bow fitting
Stainless steel bolted through the reinforced solid GRP bow with integral double anchor roller, headsail loop and attachment for head stay + base for bow pulpit.
Chain plate for baby stay supported by the longitudinal bulkhead. Pad eye chain plate for running backstay.

BILGE/BILGE PUMPS
In keel a deep bilge. The steel girder floor is with limber holes to allow all water to be assembled in the bilge.
A hand operated bilge pump is mounted for operation in the cockpit to meet the demands from special regulations together with an electrical bilge pump with a manual switch.

ENGINE INSTALL
Engine
Yanmar 3 JH2CE 3 cyl. diesel engine. S Drive install and a 430 mm folding propeller.
Diesel tank
129 litres s/s tank with deck fill, separator, shut off valve. Extra diesel tank on request.
Engine instrument and control
Engine instrument panel (led into the cockpit coaming) with RPM metre, temp metre, low pressure and high temp alarm, and starting switch. Gear gas regulator placed nearby the helmsman.

TOE RAIL/RAIL/BATHING LADDER
A black anodised aluminium toerail with 3 fairleads in each side for moorings. 10 stainless steel stanchions bases are attached to the toerail.

One 3 leg pulpit with nav. light. Two 3 leg pushpits with stern light + flag holder. Double s/s lifelines passing through the stanchions. Height according to ORC requirements.

BASIC MAST/BOOM/RIG/HALYARDS/REEFS/KICKVANG
The basic mast is a silver anodised triple spreader tapered mast.
The mast head is of cruiser type with Profurl head stay allowing easy mounting of furling head stay system. Standing rigging, discontinued rod rig, with bronze bottle screws. Includes main halyard and 2 genoa halyards. Spinnaker halyard, steaming light, Windex with light, tube for additional el. top equipment, track for spinnaker pole, clock for same. The mast is prepared for one extra spinnaker. Boom with outhaul, and 2 reefing lines.
Mechanical adjustable high power kickvang. Rod kicker type. Adjustment from cockpit.
All halyards, reefs, and control lines led to two winches on cabin top, operated from cockpit.
Baby stay adjustment: Wichard Pelikan adjuster.
Permanent backstay adjuster, hydraulic type Navtec operated with pump handle.
2 running backstays.
Profurl Furling System / Reefing System.

Lots of shelves, plexi sliding doors, drawers etc. to contain glass, plates and other crookeries.
Cushions
High quality compressed foam with different upholstery - see samples. Cushion at navigation station is covered with light grey vinyl.
Curtains for deck house windows are standard.
