CONSTRUCTION
CE-CERTIFICATION
The X-362 has been built in accordance with the European CE-Certification and meets the requirements of the CE-directive 94/25/CE for recreational crafts.
These rules require a certain minimum standard of hull and deck strength, structural bulkheads and stringer, keel and rudder and their attachment to the hull, safety and stability, engine installation, gas installation, sea cocks, manuals and documentation of all major installations.

HULL/DECK & HULL/DECK JOINT
Hull as well as deck are in hand laid E-glass reinforced on special high stress areas with Biaxial fibre glass in connection with a sandwich laminate using hard compressed Divinycell as core material. Solid laminated around the keel reinforcement girder system, the engine install, the rudder bearings as well as in connection to all through hull fittings.
Hull surface outside is made of white gelcoat with 3 blue waterlines and sheer line moulded into the freeboard. Deck reinforced around and under all deck hard ware fittings with marine plywood and/or aluminium plating instead of the hard compressed Divinycell foam in a thickness of 15 mm.
Surface of deck is white gelcoat and the antislip areas on side decks are light grey when ordered without teak laid deck. Area around cabin windows is white (blue is optional).
Hull and deck are glued together with a special polyester resin and are bolted together every 100 mm with s/s screws.

BOTTOM REINFORCEMENT/MAST FRAME
BOTTOM REINFORCEMENT/MAST FRAME The floor construction is a heavy welded bottom frame with keel floors, mast floors, lifting strap securing lugs and attachment eyes for the shrouds - made of RHS steel sections, longitudinally connected with same material.
The floor construction is heat galvanized and glassed into solid laminate.

KEEL
Antimony hardened lead keel with cast iron top and with very low centre of weight.
The keel is fixed with s/s bolts. The surface of the keel is protected with one layer of GRP and filler.

RUDDER/STEERING
The rudder blade is laminated in Triaxial fibre glass. The rudder stock is a solid aluminium rudder stock, tapered at both ends for strength and weight saving.
Both top and lower rudder bearing are roller bearings for minimum resistance and maintenance.
The yacht is delivered with a S-curved laminated teak tiller with an adjustable tiller extension. Whitlock wheel steering with rack and pionion and a very direct transmission - is optional.

STRUCTURAL BULKHEADS
Main structural bulkheads are of marine plywood 9 - 16 mm securely bonded to the hull and deck.

CHAIN PLATES/BOW FITTING
Shroud chain plates for top and lower shrouds tip cup styled deck chainplate connected via tie rod directly into the steel girder/bottom frame.
Chain plate permanent backstay
Stainless steel bolted through to the transom, which is supported by the longitudinal bulkhead which separates the aft two lockers.
Chain plate forestay
Stainless steel T bolted through the solid part of the bow, enabling head stays furling drum to be positioned below deck level (Furling head stay is optional).
Bow fitting
Stainless steel Bow fitting protecting the hull/deck nose, integrating forward base for the three legged bow pulpit and mooring fairleads in the extension of the alloy toerails.

BILGE/BILGE PUMPS
The steel girder floor is with limber holes to allow all water to be assembled in the keel recessed bilge. A hand operated bilge pump is mounted for operation in the cockpit to meet the demands from Special Regulations Cat 3 and 4.

ENGINE INSTALL
18 HP Yanmar 2GM diesel engine. S-Drive install and a 380 mm bronze folding propeller.
Diesel tank
80 litres s/s tank with deck fill, separator, shut off valve and gauge (read out at navigators switch panel). Extra diesel tank on request.
Engine instrument and control.
Engine instrument panel led into the cockpit coaming. Alarm for oil pressure, watertemp., and charging power. Single level control at cockpit coaming.

TOE RAIL/RAIL/BATHING LADDER
Black anodised aluminium 30 mm high toerail with 2 fairleads in each side for moorings. 8 stainless steel stanchion bases are attached to the toerail.
Rail
3 leg open pulpit with teak step protecting the red/green nav. light. Two 3 leg push pits, one with with stern light + flag holder. Double s/s lifelines passing through the stainless steel stanchions. Height according to ORC requirements.
Bathing ladder
Stainless steel folding bathing ladder bolted through on transom.

MAST/BOOM/KICKVANG/RIG/SPECTRA HALYARDS/REEFS
The basic mast is a tapered 9/11 fractional silver anodized double spreader. Windex with light, steaming light, spinnaker pole track (spinnaker pole car with ring fitting for spinnaker pole inboard end and spinnaker pole are part of spinnaker Equipment - optional).
Mast includes deck level water tightening, deck collar and coat, deck tie rod (avoids halyard blocks lifting the deck) and tube for additional electrical mast head equipment.
Standing rigging
Discontinued rod rigging = top shrouds, intermedias and lower shrouds incl. 4 bronze turnbuckles. + 2 s/s turnbuckles + rod forestay in fixed length and additional rod for the permanent backstay.
Running rigging
Spectra main halyard, Spectra Genoa halyard.
Messenger for 2 spinnaker halyards - part of spinnaker equipment - optional
Boom
- silver anodized, with cast alloy end fittings, with integrated internal outhaul 1 : 16, 2 slap reefs (polyester braid), stainless steel hooks for reefs and attachment points for mainsheet and vang.
Vang
- silver anodized telescopic type with external blocks 1 : 16 incl turnable cam cleat at cockpit.
Adjustment of permanent backstay:
1 : 4 purchase blocks with cam cleats - hung on a 1 : 8 cascade on the perm. backstay = power ratio of 1 : 32.
Mainsheet block system
Double system: - rough adjustment 1 : 4 purchase blocks operated via turnable cam cleat base located at an alloy arm attached to the main sheet beam.
The additional fine tune block system 1 : 4 working on the tail of the 1 : 4 rough system (brings the power ratio up to 1 :16) operated each side by line running through 2 cam cleats mounted aft of the main sheet track.
6 blocks around mast for halyards, reefs and vang.
2 x 5 sheaves deck organisers on cabin top for same.

INTERIOR ACCOMMODATION
All surfaces are high quality marine Khaya mahogany plywood varnished with 3 coats polyurethane varnish. Solid laminated frames and cappings. All doors are provided with lock fittings.
Bulkheads in head are white. Floor board is in mahogany with recessed decoration stripes - mat varnished.
Fixed main cabin table with central box for bottles and two hinged flaps.
Galley
2 s/s sinks, pressure cold water, and insulated top opened GRP icebox. Galley provided with 2 burner gimbaled stove with oven. Stainless steel fire protection surrounding the oven. Selfdraining stowage for gas tank/bottle is in one of the aft cockpit lockers. Bottom hinged doors hiding space for plates, glasses and crookeries. Drawers to contain spoons, forks and knives.
Cooling compressor mounted in icebox is optional.
Cushions
